11 Meetup Groups match “Rational thought and Skeptical Thinking” near Hugo, MN
Had enough of astrologers, psychics, homeopaths, ghost hunters, aliens, conspiracy theorists, creationists, and snake oil salesmen? Yearning to talk with someone rational for a while? Skeptics are interested in critical thinking, science, and the psychologies of belief and perception. Come meet with local skeptics for some refreshing and sane conversation. Every 2nd Thursday, we are "Drinking Skeptically". Sometimes we have topics and sometimes we don't. Mostly the discussion is about current …
We are a community of freethinking families looking to connect with other like-minded families and are interested in building strong friendships. You are invited to join us regardless of the label you choose- Agnostic, Atheist, Humanist, Skeptic, etc. – or no label at all. We have in mind picnics, play dates, excursions and outings, parents' nights out, Moms' nights out, Dads' nights out, general discussions, and any other events that we and all of you create together. Our goal is to be a catal …
Do you enjoy watching TED talks? (see www.ted.com if you haven't) I thought about starting a bookclub, but I have so enjoyed these, I thought this would just be more fun! Anyone age 18 - 100 is welcome. Each month we get together to watch a Ted talk and discuss afterward. It's as simple as that. If you like stimulating discussions, we would love to have you. Please note: The group will be limited to 30 members in order to keep the numbers manageable for our meetup venue. If the group is clos …
We love questions -- we can't start a meeting without one! We meet to attempt to answer the questions we've agreed to discuss. Any and all people who enjoy thinking and learning and friendship (including laughter) should stop in and join us at the Caribou Coffee on Nicollet Ave. between Burnsville Parkway and Highway 13.
Minnesota's oldest, largest, and most active atheist group provides a community for nonbelievers, educates the public about atheism, and promotes separation of state and church. We help make atheism part of the mainstream of society. We look forward to meeting you! We are a member-supported organization. Everyone who works for Minnesota Atheists is a volunteer, but getting our word out does cost money. This site, our website, mailing newsletters, filming a cable TV show and participating in publ …
Southern MN Atheists, Realists and Thinkers exists to bring godless friends together at fun events around Mankato and southern Minnesota. We are a collection of all kinds of freethinkers!

Secular Bible Study is a joint effort between religious believers and atheists in the Twin Cities to study and discuss the Bible and Religion -- not to engender any specific religious or non-religious view, but to explore their historical context, societal impact and cultural relevance. SBS invites expert speakers to lecture on particular topics and lead discussions; and facilitates respectful and constructive reasoning dialogues between people of many different (or no) beliefs, providing the op …
If you are single and would describe yourself as a secular humanist, an agnostic, an atheist, a freethinker, or a naturalist, etc, this group is for you. Having shared belief systems does not guarantee a successful relationship, but it does help stack the deck. There are many faith-based singles groups, as though they really need them; they can find each other everywhere. Non-theists, however, are a minority. As non-theists we generally do not wear a symbol around our necks that allow us to reco …

The club goal is to provide an open floor for intellectual discussion, where each is allowed to provide their option without fear of judgement or ridicule. We want to setup a safe area to grow our knowledge through each other. In society, it has become taboo to discuses: politics, current issues, and to speak openly about our option if they disagree with those of the majority. Any topic is open for debate. Each member must only pledge to provided an open mind and sound arguments.

I want to meet up with atheists, freethinkers, agnostics, humanists etc. in the Northfield area. Let's get together for coffee or drinks to celebrate reason and discuss important issues.
We are the first local chapter of The Circle of Reason , an international organization for pluralistic rationalism. We're a unique venue, where those with divergent beliefs and backgrounds engage in reasoning dialogue and fellowship across the gulf of human difference. Although our members remain affiliated with their various groups that rely on religious, atheist, biological, ethnic, cultural, economic, political or ideological kinship, they also join the Circle to examine and bring their diffe …
