I began this group because I wanted to meet other atheists in SE Georgia. The purpose of the group is social, in Statesboro and the surrounding community, theism, particularly Christianity is the norm. An atheist can feel very isolated. This group is intended to create a place where atheists can go be themselves, talk about issues of the day in ways that do not evoke the supernatural.
